How Much Does It Cost To Fit A Home Charging Point?

The cost of your car charging station may vary depending on the model you go for, whether any additional work is needed and various other factors. However, the RAC states that a home car charger could cost in the region of £939+. That sounds like a lot, but it is important to think about what you will save in the long run, and take off any fees that the government may cover.

As we have already learned, the UK government offers an OLEV scheme which could see you being helped with up to 75% of the cost of a home charging station, up to the value of £500. That’s not to mention that the average driver spends around £1,400 annually on fuel and these costs will be instantly eliminated by switching to electric.
